President-elect Barack Obama will not move for months, and perhaps not until 2010, to ask Congress to end the military’s decades-old ban on open homosexuals in the ranks, two people who have advised the Obama transition team on this issue say.

Repealing the ban was an Obama campaign promise. However, Mr. Obama first wants to confer with the Joint Chiefs of Staff and his new political appointees at the Pentagon to reach a consensus and then present legislation to Congress, the advisers said.

Now what it all boils down is that Mr. Obama is going to be a candy Ass (and I don’t mean Arms and Apples) and bow down to the Joint Chiefs of Staff like I tried it but I didn’t inhale and lust and a Blow Job in the Oval Office Bill Clinton, so much for promising to repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. Son how many times have I told ya you can’t trust a politician, why just a few short months ago one of them got caught in an airport men’s room trying to solicit sex from a undercover man, pleaded guilty to the charge and then tried to back peddle it to a not guilty plea that one claimed he had a wide stance. And then one of them even skipped off to another country using taxpayer’s money to have a sordid affair with a paid Madame all in the name of trying to save his marriage. Better to trust a rattlesnake instead, at least you know not to handle the damned thing the wrong way or your going to get bit.

“I think 2009 is about foundation building and reaching consensus,” said Aubrey Sarvis, executive director of the Service members Legal Defense Network. The group supports military personnel targeted under the ban.

I think it’s it about another Candy Ass bowing down to a bunch of hard Ass’s in the Joint Chiefs of Staff again.
