Damned, am I bored or am I bored:
Monday, May 4th, 2009Right on down to the center of the center of gourd, and not even the trip to the VA in Little Rock cheered me up. It’s just one long hour and half tiring ride from my home to Little Rock which is a good 50 miles and nothing see or do but sit and sit and sit and sit some more. Spent about a half an hour in the waiting room to see the doctor another hour talking with the doctor and then another hour and a half drive back, all total about 100 miles round trip. I got a young man doctor this time around, last time it was a young man and woman team and the young man doctor this time around wasn’t even that good a eye candy.
At least the man and woman team was pretty good eye candy, the young man doctor that is. I swear I always felt good going to the VA hospital in New Orleans and felt good when I left, and felt like walking for hours on end. Every time I went into New Orleans, I made it a point to stop in at P.J’s over on Elk’s Place for a big hot cup of cappuccino. I guarantee, you get used to New Orleans Community blend (half coffee and half Chicory) and Folgers and Maxwell tastes like nothing more than colored water.
Now a lot of you people out there reading this might be wondering what Chicory is, well it’s nothing more than coffee that’s been over roasted, that’s right slightly burnt coffee beans. Now mix that half and half and you’ve got one hell of good and strong pot of coffee and when used in cappuccino it’s delicious.
